The home of former Indigo League Champion and Johto native Chimon. This scenic school of martial arts sits atop the Route 6 mountains overlooking Saffron City and Vermillion City. Gym Leaders Helena Chau, Braxton Klein and Argento Kessler studied here under the tutelage of Sensei Chimon and often refer prospective gym challengers to the school to undertake lessons beneath his wise and watchful gaze. Those who he deigns to train will learn several skills as they progress, some of which unlock their hidden potentials, some of which unlock the potential of their Pokémon.
Due to the relative difficulty of reaching the school it is often said that those who reach the pinnacle of the mountain will be able to ascend any peak in their path, literal or metaphorical.
Those who train here also receive a gi adorned with the sigil of the sensei, 地門, denoting their devotion to their and their Pokémon’s body, mind and soul.
