Saffron City largely functions as the commercial hub for Kanto, during the day the city is alive with the sound of traffic, formal and polite sararīman conversations and idle chatter as tourists and natives alike navigate the vast urban sprawl. Despite recent troubles in the city due to the feuding nature of the twin Gym Leaders the city has seen an era of peace, prosperity and a steady economic renewal after the events of 1996.

Silph Co. HQ- The largest and most prosperous corporation in Kanto. Founded in the 60’s, Silph. Co has continued to provide the most widespread and marketable Pokémon merchandise, including but not limited to the Pokéball, the consumer issue Potion, Technical Machines and Hidden Machines. Inside their most secure floors their developers are hard at work creating the most cutting edge innovations mankind has ever seen.
Silph. Co Plaza- Right outside the main building you can find the plaza district. Merchants and vendors from around the world come here to sell their wares. Impromptu markets and stalls often set up here over the weekend. Be sure to visit the Streetza Food Van while you’re there.
The Old Train Yard- A historical site, first opened in 1986, the train yard brought in a boom of blue collar workers to Silph Co., giving them a steady source of income and a means of living within the metropolis. With the completion of the MagLev rail to Johto many of the workers moved on to new ventures in Kanto and the newly navigable Johto. Many of those that chose to stay have since moved on to the rebuilding of Cerulean City, ironically the Cerulean Gym Leader has since moved her family to the Saffron Train Yard to undertake the restoration of a defunct model of steam train.
Geodude Junction- A newly opened storefront which is building up considerable business due to their joint venture with the Saffron-Kitakami rail restoration, the proprietor offers the once prohibitively expensive fossil restoration process at a discount. If you’ve an interest in the past and all things geological this store is an ideal starting point.
Teddiursa’s Toybox- All things recreational and creative may be found in the Toybox, with a joint production facility in Johto the Toybox is responsible for bringing childish joy to those of all ages.
